Galleries re-open to the public for the Mayfair Art Weekend West End Gallery HOP!

Last Friday saw the much anticipated return of the Mayfair Art Weekend Gallery HOP!. Following months of closures during lockdown and many long-anticipated exhibitions cancelled, galleries opened their doors to the public for the West End Gallery HOP!. 40 galleries across Mayfair and the surrounding areas of Soho, Fitzrovia, St James’s and Marylebone stayed open until 8pm on Friday 23 April to welcome visitors who hopped from gallery to gallery enjoying the exhibitions. Large numbers of visitors took part in Friday's Gallery HOP! and loved seeing art in the flesh for the first time in months.
Since 2014 Mayfair Art Weekend has celebrated the West End’s world-renowned gallery district. The event was delayed in 2020 as a result of government coronavirus restrictions and took place during the autumn instead. Mayfair Art Weekend delivered a new adapted programme that "created a buzz in Mayfair while safely re-engaging audiences with art and culture" and was one of the only events in the art calendar to go ahead in person.
Mayfair Art Weekend will return this summer on 25th-27th June for its eighth edition and will include last year's hugely popular Mayfair Sculpture Trail.
Boodle Hatfield is a founding partner of Mayfair Art Weekend and has proudly sponsored the initiative since 2014.
