Boodle Hatfield leads the residential legal market, says Chambers High Net Worth Guide
Law firm Boodle Hatfield is the only Firm in the UK to have two of its lawyers ranked as leading individuals in high value residential property in the Chambers HNW Guide 2017.
The top ranking confirms the team’s market-leading position in the prime residential real estate market. Chambers HNW is the definitive annual guide to the global wealth management community, naming and ranking the world’s leading lawyers, accountants, private banks, wealth management firms and family offices. Partners Saskia Arthur and Amanda O’Keeffe have both been listed in the top rank by Chambers HNW.
Saskia Arthur is listed as a “renowned, well-known practitioner” who leads the Firm’s residential property group. She acts for overseas and domestic clients in high-value transactions of London and rural properties, and she is quoted in the market to be “an exceptional operator in buying farms and estates”. Saskia also handles financing, landlord and tenant, sporting rights, easements, options and overage arrangements over land. Chambers HNW says Saskia is “Very good indeed. When you see her on the other side, you know that a way will be found to do the deal – she’s pragmatic and likes to get on with the deal”.
Amanda O’Keeffe’s wide-ranging residential real estate practice covers the conveyancing, letting and financing of high value London and country homes and estates. “She’s exceptional,” says one source, adding that “She’s very personable, she explains things very simply to non-lawyers and doesn’t baffle you with legal speak. She’s incredibly efficient and if you call her, she’s always on the end of the telephone. Whatever you present to her, she is incredibly calm, measured and insightful. If I know she’s acting for any party, I know the deal will go smoothly”. Another describes Amanda O’Keeffe as “extraordinarily efficient, personable and professional”. Amanda O’Keeffe has commented how delighted she is to be listed in the top ranking category for the second year running.
Commenting on the ranking Saskia Arthur said: “We are thrilled to be recognised as a leader in the field of high value residential property work. The listing plays to our firm’s real strength in private wealth advice. We have a joined up and full service offering for HNW clients combining property work and private client advice, with the ability to draw upon other experts who are also recognised by Chambers when construction, litigation, corporate, matrimonial and arts advice is required for the particular property transaction. We are proud to be the only firm in the UK with more than one lawyer recognised as leader in the field for this category.”
