Boodle Hatfield celebrates top-tier success in Legal 500 UK 2026 rankings

Boodle Hatfield has again been recognised for its excellence across core practice areas in the 2026 edition of The Legal 500 UK, published in October 2025.
The firm has retained seven Tier 1 rankings in Agriculture and Estates (London and South East), Art and Cultural Property (London), Contentious Trusts and Probate (London), Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate (London and South East) and Residential Property (London). For the first time, the firm has been ranked in Tier 3 for Immigration: personal, a milestone that recognises the growth in this area. The firm has also maintained its strong position across five further categories: M&A: Smaller Deals, £10m-£100m (London), Commercial litigation: mid-market (London), Commercial property: development (London), Commercial property: investment (London) and Property litigation (London), and achieved recognition in two new areas: Family: divorce and financial remedy (London) and Family: Children (London), reflecting the continued breadth and strength of its offering.
The firm is commended for providing "first-class service", with "excellent partners and enormous strength in depth at associate level", who are "second to none" and with "a stellar reputation in the market".

Twenty-six individuals have been ranked, reflecting the team’s depth, expertise and rising talent. Among them, fifteen lawyers were recognised as "Leading Individuals", seven as "Next Gen Partners" and three as "Leading Associates". In addition, three partners have been included in the "Hall of Fame", acknowledging their sustained excellence and longstanding client recognition.
This year’s Legal 500 UK rankings follow a string of recent accolades for Boodle Hatfield. In July 2025, the firm was ranked across eight categories in the Chambers High Net Worth (HNW) Guide 2025 and went on to win ‘Residential Property Team of the Year’ at the Chambers HNW Awards 2025. The firm was also shortlisted for ‘Private Client Team of the Year’ and ‘Art Law Team of the Year’, reinforcing its leading position in the private wealth space.
Boodle Hatfield’s expertise has also been consistently recognised by the STEP Private Client Awards. In September 2025, the firm won ‘Contentious Trusts and Estates Team of the Year (Midsize Firm)’ and was shortlisted for ‘Family Business Advisory Practice of the Year’.
Further recognition has come from the LexisNexis Family Law Awards, where the firm is a finalist in the ‘Children’s Law Firm of the Year’ category. The winners will be announced in November 2025.
