Sophie specialises in commercial property.

Sophie specialises in commercial property. She has a broad experience which covers acquisitions, disposals (including disposals with the benefit of planning permission), development work, the real estate aspects of property finance transactions, option agreements and lettings (from both the landlord and the tenant’s perspective).

Sophie has advised developers on obtaining vacant possession, site assembly exercises, section 106 agreements, overage matters, and rights of light issues. She works with a broad range of clients from landed estates to private investors to property companies.

Alongside this, Sophie is responsible for some of the charity and volunteering initiatives at the firm.

Track Record

Advised joint venture companies and family offices on the purchase (with finance) of properties for the purposes of redevelopment. This has included advice on securing vacant possession from existing tenants and telecoms providers

Acted on the disposal by private individuals, to national house builders of greenfield land, with planning consent for 100+ houses. Advice has extended to the protection of retained land value; the apportionment of site-wide planning obligations; security for deferred consideration; and overage

Advised various individuals and family estates on their negotiation of land promotion agreements, option agreements and conditional sale agreements

Assisted on the ongoing development of a large mixed used scheme in Central London

Advised developers on section 106 agreements

Advised on the purchase of tenanted office buildings and industrial estates and thereafter dealt with all aspects of asset management in respect of the same
