Katie advises high net worth individuals in relation to a broad range of family law matters.

She is experienced in advising husbands and wives on their financial separation upon divorce, both in the context of court proceedings and out-of-court negotiation. Many of Katie’s clients are high net worth individuals and her cases often involve trusts and family businesses, whether in this jurisdiction or offshore. Katie regularly advises in relation to asset protection and is experienced in drafting and negotiating pre- and post-nuptial agreements, as well as acting for clients who have signed such agreements upon divorce.

Katie represents clients who are in unmarried relationships, advising on the implications of entering into a cohabiting relationship, as well as acting for parties whose relationship has broken down. She also advises on private children law matters.

KA v MA [2018] EWHC 499 (Fam) – acting for the wife in circumstances where the parties had signed a pre-nuptial agreement which she felt pressured to sign and did not meet her needs.

CMX v EJX [2022] EWFC 136 – acting for the husband in circumstances where the parties had signed a “séparation de biens” French marriage contract.

EK v DK & Ors [2023] EWHC 1829 (Fam) – acting for the husband on the wife’s application to set aside a divorce financial settlement on the grounds of his non-disclosure.

CG v DL [2023] EWFC 82 and CG v DL No 2 [2023] EWFC 238 – acting for the wife in her financial remedy claim, including to a share in the future profits of the husband’s hedge fund business.
