Senior Marketing Executive

Boodle Hatfield LLP is a highly successful London law firm with a heritage spanning almost 300 years advising wealthy families, property investors, landed estates, entrepreneurs and family businesses. Today, much of our work has an international dimension as many internationally mobile clients turn to us to help them structure and preserve their wealth or to advise them on their property investments and business activities in the UK.

The Firm operates through five departments - private wealth, property, corporate, litigation and family – and has a strong focus on key sectors including Arts and Luxury assets; Middle East, Family Offices, Family Businesses and Entrepreneurs.

Role

The role reports to the Business Development Director.

As Senior Marketing Executive, your role will involve working closely with other members of the BD & Marketing team. The overall aims of this role are to:

  • Develop and implement Boodle Hatfield's marketing communications plan to ensure that the Firm is positioning itself effectively as a leading private wealth and property law firm in its chosen markets.
  • Provide the teams with the marketing collateral and activities they require to support their business development activities across the relevant channels including powerful content through events, thought leadership, digital, social media, awards, directories brochures and pitch documents
  • Bring strong copywriting skills to Boodle Hatfield's marketing communications.

Responsibilities

  • Communications strategy - to input into and oversee an integrated content and campaign approach for Boodle Hatfield to deliver strong cross-departmental messages to key client sectors, recommending how different channels can work together (web, print, social, PR, thought leadership), and reflecting our tone of voice and visual approach.
  • Digital - Responsibility for the ongoing performance of all digital channels, including the website, SEO, social media and email including taking responsibility for management of key agencies.
  • Marketing Collateral - Writing, maintaining and developing corporate marketing collateral to provide a strong message, client focus and visual impact
  • Website - Create engaging and compelling content for the website ensuring brand and message consistency and implementation of an SEO plan and the monitoring of its success
  • Social Media - to manage the firm's social media presence including encouraging use by Fee Earners of LinkedIn, Twitter etc and providing training as required and monitor the success of its usage
  • Event management - overall management of an effective events programme and organisation of key events ensuring there is a clear purpose to each event and monitoring the success
  • Awards & Submissions - developing an Awards/ Directories strategy for the firm and writing awards submissions and directory submissions for key teams
  • Internal Communications - responsibility for internal newsletter and communications events
  •  Metrics - development of metrics that measure the effectiveness of all activities eg Google Analytics
  • Trends - To monitor new trends in marketing communications and recommend how to integrate into the Boodle Hatfield marketing communications plan
  • Other activities as required by the BD Director

Experience and Skills Required

The successful candidate will have:

  • At least five years' experience of working in a business development/marketing environment, preferably within a professional services firm.
  • An understanding of how to deliver effective marketing communications in professional services across all channels.
  • Excellent written, creative and organisational skills and be highly IT literate.
  • Ideally educated to degree level with a post graduate qualification in marketing.

Education

  • Educated to good A level standard or equivalent
  • Excellent standard of both written and spoken English
