Mixed Use Properties - Don't get caught out!

An opportunity to learn about some of the key issues affecting mixed use properties in an informal workshop.

Did you know that:

  • A recent case saw a landlord lose the freehold to his mixed use building to his tenants, for nothing.
  • It can be a criminal offence for a landlord to grant a lease of a corridor.
  • A flat owner has the right to extend its lease as many times as it likes.
  • Failure to consult residential tenants on programmes of works can limit service charge recovery to £250/head

Many of the issues traditionally associated with residential property also affect properties with a commercial element.

At Boodle Hatfield our multi-disciplinary property team are experts in dealing with these issues; covering a wide range of commercial, residential and leasehold enfranchisement matters every day.

We have put together a short workshop on some of the key issues affecting mixed use properties which we would be happy to share with you and your team, either at our offices or at yours. Please click on the link below or email bh@boodlehatfield.com if you would like more information.
