A message from Senior Partner, Sara Maccallum

I am delighted that you are considering Boodle Hatfield for the next stage of your career.

My own career at Boodle Hatfield began over 20 years ago, after a short stint teaching tax and business law at The College of Law in Chester and London. As a young assistant solicitor, I was delighted to find myself working alongside some really excellent lawyers and in a firm which focused on providing the best service to our clients. However, what was equally important to me, was that everyone was friendly and helpful – all these elements combined to convince me I had made the right decision. That ethos has never changed, and as Senior Partner I am delighted to be surrounded by so many talented lawyers and business services professionals today.

I am passionate about ensuring that we have the right working culture for our people. We invest in excellent training and good mentoring for our people to ensure they can advance in their careers. We recognise the value of having time to spend with family and friends, as well as socialising with colleagues.

An integral part of our values is our commitment to the community and the environment. We have a programme to review and improve our carbon footprint and our Charities Committee runs a whole range of fun fundraising activities each year to support our Charity of the Year, which is chosen by the staff.  My favourites are the Strictly Comes Dancing and Boodle’s Got Talent competitions as well as the very competitive quizzes, which have become a regular feature.

But core to what makes Boodle Hatfield special is our clients. For me, being able to work alongside great clients is key and my specialism in tax enables me to be part of some of their important life decisions as well as key business opportunities and challenges which is a great privilege.

We have invested in modern and well-equipped offices in a great location a stone’s throw from the River Thames and close to the theatres, museums, bars and music venues of Bankside, as well as having offices in Mayfair and Oxford.
