Mayfair Art Weekend returns for its ninth year!
Written by
Next weekend (24 - 26 June) sees the return of Mayfair Art Weekend for 2022! Mayfair Art Weekend is an annual celebration that champions the diversity and resilience of the exceptional galleries residing in the world’s internationally renowned gallery district.
Following great success last year, the Mayfair Sculpture Trail and the May Fair Show Reel will be returning again for this year. If you are in the area, look out for the sculpture trail or pop into a gallery to enjoy the art and culture Mayfair has to offer.
There is a full programme of family friendly events, talks and trails to follow as well as a range of exhibitions to visit. Some of our highlights to look out for include:
- The return of the Gallery HOP! on Friday evening where you can follow a geographic or curated trail, or spontaneously pop in the galleries you pass as you stroll through Mayfair. More information can be found here.
- Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair will be taking part in MAW by opening a pop-up space at 56 South Molton Street to showcase the solo show ‘Jake Garfield: Emerging Artist (and other favourites)’. Jake Garfield is an artist who reflects on the nature of picture-making through the medium of woodcut print. Jake Garfield won the Boodle Hatfield Printmaking Prize in 2021 for his print 'Private View' after being shortlisted by our art lawyers at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair in 2020.
- The Mayfair Sculpture Trail which offers an immersive art experience where you can explore both the temporary and permanent artworks on the streets of Mayfair. The Trail is in collaboration with Art in Mayfair and runs from 20 June - 31st July.
Boodle Hatfield is a founding partner of Mayfair Art Weekend and has proudly sponsored the initiative since 2014.
