Jonathan is a leading enfranchisement solicitor.
He principally acts for landlords, and in particular urban estates, including preparing cases for the First-tier Tribunal and appeals to the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber), and the courts. He has also developed structures which allow houses and flats to be leased without creating enfranchisement rights.
His general property practice covers sale of purchase of investments, commercial lettings and property lending, and he was responsible for the comprehensive modernisation of the standard documents used on one of the London Estates. A German speaker, he has represented a German mortgage bank lending to UK investment companies, and a prospective tenant under a building lease for a major building in Berlin.
