Construction disputes

When things go wrong we work with our clients on all types of construction disputes. We provide realistic and practical advice for resolving the problem and achieving the best possible results. We can resolve complex issues through arbitration, adjudication, mediation and the courts.

Commercial developments

We have wide experience in the drafting and negotiation of construction contracts, professional appointments, bonds, guarantees, collateral warranties and associated documentation for all types of commercial developments including offices, data centres, hotels and mixed-use projects.

Residential construction agreements

We are experienced in advising on the construction agreements required for the building and refurbishment of both large country and urban houses.

Track Record

  • Development of a grade II listed Art Deco building in Mayfair into a luxury, boutique hotel. The hotel will feature a unique habitable sculpture by Antony Gormley.
  • Advising Grosvenor on the construction documentation for a number of office, retail, leisure and mixed-use developments.
  • Construction documentation on the refurbishment of 8 Fenchurch Place, London EC3, a five-storey, 93,708-square-foot office building which sits directly above London's Fenchurch Street mainline rail station.
  • Advice on a 250-300,000 sq ft data centre project in the Milton Keynes area.
  • Redevelopment of an industrial site in Amersham.
  • £30m+ refurbishment of a large residential property.
  • £20 m + development and fit out of a significant new-build country house in the Home Counties.
  • Refurbishment of a four star London hotel, including a roof level extension and refurbishment of all bedrooms, corridors, stairs, and resturant.
  • Construction documentation for the development of a portfolio of thirteen petrol filling stations and convenience stores across the UK.
  • A multi-million pound dispute concerning infrastructure work on contaminated land in Hampshire.
