We act for charities, whether trusts or guarantee companies, including academic institutions. We advise on the formation, registration and dissolution of charities; the responsibilities and liabilities of charitable trustees and governing bodies; obtaining orders and schemes from the Charity Commissioners; setting up associated trading companies; property transactions; and related tax issues. We also advise the legacy officers on disputes which may arise over bequests to their organisations.

We regularly advise individuals and families on their philanthropy programmes.
