Litigation 1-2 Year PQE - London
Boodle Hatfield's Litigation department are seeking an Assistant Solicitor to join their London team.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a wide range of work including a significant element of commercial litigation and landlord and tenant work for companies and high net worth individuals but not matrimonial work.
The jobholder will be expected to assume responsibility consistent with his or her experience for the conduct of cases, and will be encouraged to communicate and work with clients directly where appropriate. In other cases he/she will be expected to work as part of a team and will often undertake a great deal of the detailed work on large cases.
Professional Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2:1 honours degree
- Must have trained in a practice with a wide range of work including commercial and property work and civil litigation in a City, West End or substantial provincial firm
- Knowledge of litigation procedure and an appreciation of the importance of using the differing forms of procedure (e.g. arbitration, mediation or insolvency) to further clients' interests
- Solid drafting skills and ability to provide clear and concise advice in writing
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to sift through large amounts of information quickly and efficiently and provide a reasoned analysis of the documents reviewed
- Foreign language skills useful but not essential
