Real estate as an asset class is central to Boodle Hatfield's private capital business. Our Property Department, the largest in the firm, has a significant presence in the market place. We are recognised as having leading-edge expertise.

Our Development Teams undertake the full spectrum of development assignments, from major city centre projects to niche redevelopment schemes. We handle all types of property investment and fund formation. We act for major corporate investors and individuals, often involving offshore structures. Our Teams are experienced in all aspects of portfolio acquisition, leasing and disposal. We also act for occupiers of office, retail and industrial premises with regard to acquisitions, disposals and leasing.

Our Estates Team is highly regarded for its estate management expertise. Acting for some of the largest urban and rural landowners in the country, the Team is particularly noted for its specialist skills in leasehold enfranchisement. We also handle high-value transactions of prime residential property.

Within the Property Department, our Construction Group acts for developers and investors on a wide range of commercial developments and urban regeneration schemes, in prime central London locations and across the UK. Our clients' projects include office, retail, industrial and residential developments, from luxury to affordable housing.

Our Property Transaction Teams are led by partners, with access to specialist colleagues on Tax, Corporate and Dispute Resolution issues as needed. We are recommended by leading guides, including Chambers, The Legal 500 and the Surveyors' 500.

"Our long-standing relationship with Boodle Hatfield is important to us. We can depend on a high standard of advice from committed, enthusiastic and friendly people. The firm understands our requirements very well and our respective teams work closely together. It's not too cosy, however. We are demanding clients and they have independent views which we welcome and respect. The association continues to evolve successfully."
