Our Corporate & Commercial Department advises on issues affecting all aspects and stages of a company's development. Our clients include private and family businesses, high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs. We act for fast growing and developing companies and smaller quoted companies.
Our work extends across a range of business sectors. We have expertise in relation to joint ventures, corporate finance, venture capital investments, private equity, cross-border deals and inward investments. The Team also handles a wide spectrum of commercial matters, including shareholder and partnership agreements, IT and e-commerce, agency and distribution agreements.
We have a particular reputation for acting for family businesses, alongside colleagues in the Private Client and Tax teams. We advise on issues such as how to reconcile the conflicting income requirements of different members of the family, on the disposal of business assets for maximum benefit to the family, and on passing ownership of the family firm to the next generation.
We also have extensive experience advising on all aspects of investment funds, from regulatory issues to structuring.
International advice forms an important part of our work. We have substantial cross-border experience, including transactions centred in North America, Europe, the Far East and Middle East. We have established links with respected law firms in all major business centres worldwide.
